Easy Light Glycometer-
An investigational noninvasive, pain-free test for A1C and glucose

Trial Purpose

This trial is recruiting participants for an investigational study to evaluate the effectiveness of a noninvasive device for testing A1C and glucose in diabetic patients. The hope is that Easy Light Glycometer (ELG) will reduce the need for finger sticks by becoming FDA cleared for marketing as a universal, non-invasive testing device used to monitor A1C and glucose with equivalency levels comparable to the standard whole blood fingerstick test.

Trial Summary

According to the CDC, there are close to 30 million diabetics, and another 8 million undiagnosed in the U.S. Many of these diabetics must measure glucose levels several times per day with what can be considered an invasive, painful finger stick method.

Intended Use: ELG is in the investigative stage for monitoring A1C and fasting glucose levels in both type I and type II diabetic mellitus patients (and later for monitoring random glucose levels).

Participant Criteria:

  • Have been diagnosed with type 1 or 2 diabetes
  • Be 25 - 65 years of age
  • Male or female
  • Various ethnicities are desired
  • Must be available for 2 visits within a 2-week period and willing to spend 2 hours/visit
  • Must have daytime availability for visits
  • 4 blood draws will be taken for complete blood testing at each visit
  • Must be willing to fast prior to each blood draw for the duration of the study
  • Please note other conditions may apply
